We are fortunate to be able to provide the most up to date technology for our patient treatment. These technologies benefit the patient by offering improved diagnosis and care.
We take pride in the fact that Dr. Perry and Dr. Ivy use a surgical microscope for all endodontic procedures. The use of specialized operating microscopes greatly enhances the precision and efficiency of each endodontic procedure by enabling a magnified and illuminated view of the delicate root canal anatomy during all phases of treatment. The additional magnification and illumination also allows for the identification of small details such as calcified canals and fractures within the roots. Use of the surgical microscope allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment and improves the potential outcome of the treatment from “good” to “excellent”. Our surgical microscopes are equipped with high resolution video and digital photography systems allowing for enhanced communication and documentation for patients and their referring dentists.
3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography technology provides a digital tomographic 3D view of a patient’s area of interest. A traditional x-ray is only two-dimensional. With CBCT technology a full 360 degree view of the tooth and all surrounding areas allows us to identify and treat pathology and anatomy not detectable with traditional x-rays resulting in more thorough and precise treatment. CBCT technology provides nearly limitless views of the teeth while using less radiation than traditional medical CT technology. We are proud that we are the only endodontic office in the area to offer CBCT technology on-site. This new technology is efficient and convenient and provides unprecedented benefits that were unavailable only a few years ago.
We utilize a low radiation digital x-ray system which reduces the amount of radiation needed as compared to traditional film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow patients to better understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant and there is no longer a need to develop film resulting in very green technology. Eliminating film and chemical waste is better for everyone and our environment!
Using Electronic Medical Records our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to your information when needed for insurance records yet provides a secure filing system.
An intra-oral camera combines the latest video technologies with dental care. Both the patient and dentist can see detailed images of the teeth and mouth in real time. With an intraoral camera, you are able to better understand what is happening in your mouth and review the status of your oral health.
These handpieces provide less vibration and noise than traditional dental drills. Not only are they quieter, but also more efficient in tooth preparation making dental procedures shorter and more manageable.
Ultrasonic instruments use ultrasonic energy during endodontic procedures to allow greater precision and accuracy without requiring invasive measures. They are used to remove harmful bacteria within the root canal and aid in the location of calcified canals.
Our office offers free Wi-Fi for our patients use while visiting our office.
